Lisa and David Karam, both life-long Columbus, Ohio residents, have learned to work well together over their 36 year marriage. In March of 2019 they were given the tremendous opportunity to become the owners and operators of Duncan Run Farm. This is not the first time they have united in an exciting venture. Together they have raised three sons, devoted much time to St. Jude Children’s Hospital and Faith Mission Lutheran Social Services, and have recently relished becoming grandparents to seven.
A love for horses has always been innate in Lisa. She was finally able to dedicate time to her passion in 2003 when she began riding lessons. After that she never looked back. She was able to purchase her first horse, a beautiful mare named Julianna in 2006. Julianna was imported from Holland and was a trained Dressage, Equitation, Hunter and Jumper. Julianna retired in 2009 but remained a beloved pet and friend to Lisa for the remainder of her life.
Julianna was bred in 2011 and baby Jasper arrived in 2012. Jasper, owned by Lisa and David, is a boisterous, mischievous and happy resident of Duncan Run Farm. At eight years old, he competed as a Hunter for a few years and has now transitioned to the Jumper Ring.
Since purchasing Duncan Run Farm, you can find Lisa there most every day ensuring that everything is running smoothly and that all the residents of the farm are happy, healthy and receiving the absolute best care. She looks forward to the days when her grandchildren will follow in her equestrian footsteps and love for riding.
